This took me foreverrrrrr to get into. Basically a single mom moves to a new area and immediately ends up enamored by a local pediatrician…whose wife mysteriously disappeared.Oh and a lot of people think he had something to do with it.It really picks up at about 50% and I flew through it after that. The twist at the end was v unexpected, and I feel the story wrapped up in a really satisfying way. Thank you Poisoned Pen Press & Netgalley for the ARC copy of this book.
Kristin Hannah
I don’t know if I have ever read a book so beautiful and magical and tragic and life-changing. Maybe that’s dramatic, I don’t know. I think I fell in love with Kristin Hannah though

3.5⭐️This was fun, easy to read (or listen to in this case), and felt like the perfect beach book. It reminded me of Mamma Mia with the settings and complicated family dynamics, and I loved that!! The friendship in this was sweet and heartfelt and the plot kept me hooked the whole time. The only place this book fell short for me was with the romance aspect. Idk if it was just spread too thin between multiple couples or undeveloped, but I never really bought any of the stories or got very invested in them.Overall this was a fun read and I think it’ll be great for summertime or vacation! Side note: there are no open door intimate scenes, but sex is referenced a few times throughout.Thank you NetGalley for sending me an ARC audio version of this book 🤗

I was super hesitant to read this because I really disliked the cover tbh 😂 But I was craving a summer camp creepy vibe, and this is what I ended up finding. It definitely delivered on the eerie summer camp-ish vibes. It’s set in a cabin at a water rafting attraction and our main character is working as a guide for the rafting. So not quite summer camp, but same vibes. This was creepy, suspenseful, fast-paced, and twisty. I literally had no idea what was going to happen next for pretty much the entire book. My only complaint is that it did take a very…interesting turn at the end and I didn’t love it. It felt a little like…”oh we gotta wrap this up. Just put a bandaid on it.” 😂
Kelly Bishop, Amy Sherman-Palladino, Kelly Bishop
Well. I learned a lot about Kelly that I didn’t previously know, which is a win do a memoir imo. I was expecting a lot more about Gilmore Girls given the title, but it doesn’t even touch on that until maybe 65-70% in. I liked that she was telling her story in chronological order, though. Everything flowed in a way that made sense! I wanted MORE Gilmore Girls, though tbh 😂 That was, by far, the most impactful section for me. [spoiler][spoiler]Overall, I enjoyed learning more about her, was a little uncomfortable at times, and have a better understanding of the show biz industry 😅
