James A. Hunter
I had a hard time finishing this one. Like most LitRPG, the story has gotten much more long and complicated than the first book — I think this was 2.5X the length of the first. I still enjoyed it but had to pause for a month because I was just having trouble connecting.
Matt Dinniman
Like the other books in DCC, I finished this quickly and loved the audio performance. However, this may be one of my least favorite in the series so far. The book felt more like a bridge from one part of the real plot to another rather than its own standalone thing.I also noticed some more overtly political/preachy things than in any previous books. It’s clear that Dinniman is more confident that his audience wants to hear politically charged statements that feel related to current events (translation: why conservatives in America are racist bigots etc.).Still, I want to see what happens next. I like that the crawl has essentially expanded to impacting many people outside the dungeon. Hoping for a strong ending in books 9-10!
Otto Schafer
I’m both thrilled there is more to the series and horrified that it’s not over. 😂 I love the way this book morphed into a broader plot and introduced [spoiler]. I’m so fascinated to see where it goes!

Another incredible Wrack & Ruin book! This is the first zombie apocalypse series I’ve ever read, and I’ve truly been hooked since page one.
Philip K. Dick
I want to enjoy this book, I really do! Unfortunately, it fell pretty flat for me. The concept is somewhat interesting (yes, the "electric sheep" are legitimately relevant to the plot), but I found myself having a very difficult time caring what would come next. I'm glad I gave it a shot, but I'm finding that Philip K. Dick's books just seem not to be for me.
