The story was interesting and the characters were likable. However, I got bored in the middle and felt like it was dragging on quite a bit. I wasn’t super invested in the love story, and found myself more interested in the brother’s story. The big surprise was semi-shocking but not devastating. Honestly, with this title I expected to be sobbing at some point. It doesn’t take much to get me there either. I teared up a few times, but overall felt the book was just okay.
