I’m unsure if I should’ve rated this lower or higher, so we’re settling for the middle. The writing in this was very well done, in my opinion. It had me creeped out and intrigued. I loved the eerie feeling of the hotel and the suspense of trying to figure out exactly what was going on. That’s pretty much all the good things I can say, though. The pacing was off somehow. The end was very chaotic and kept losing me. The very ending was just…unsatisfying haha. It got randomly gory and gross at times. Excessive cussing and lots of hate speech from some characters (which the author does have as a trigger in the beginning.) Overall I think I disliked every single character. I gotta get better at DNF-ing books
