Going into Warbreaker, the back of the book felt a little reminiscent of Elantris. A princess being sent to marry into another nation’s royal family, a man becoming an immortal without knowing why, & religious beliefs on the brink of war.
I found out quickly how wrong I was though!
This is my favorite Cosmere book since Mistborn era 1. (I’m reading Stormlight next though!)
There wasn’t a single character that was a weak link. They were all three dimensional. I felt like inreallungot to know them, but all the twists with them felt shocking yet organic.
The worldbuilding was top-notch as always. It all just came across as real. That’s what I’ve been appreciating most about Sanderson on my trek through the Cosmere!
The biggest twist was spoiled for me because I googled a character to see the appearance better. But it was still such a satisfying ending!
I definitely still have my fervor to continue this journey!
