I got about five chapters into this one & was already annoyed at the fact that I was going to have to update my all time favorite books list.
My only regret is that I put this series so far down on my TBR.
There were a few flaws: the similar or hard-to-pronounce names & the romantic interactions. But they were hardly noticed among the plethora of positives: the characters, the worldbuilding, the epic scale, the history, the magic system.
I’m about the open up The Great Hunt now to pick up right where I left off.
For the record, my favorite characters right now are Rand, Egwene, Mat, & Loial. We’ll see how consistent that remains over the next 13 books.
