I just read an all-time favorite book for the first time.
The prose was hit or miss, but that was really my only complaint at all. This story took me through the entire scope of my emotional range. The Christian allegory may have been heavy handed to some, but I found it beautifully moving.
I genuinely love every character, even the side ones.
Logan’s arc in this book is one of the best I’ve seen in any form of media. He really stole the show & had nearly every one of the big moments.
Vi’s arc was a roller coaster & is probably the most enticing thing about starting book 3 later today.
Brent Weeks is an absolute genius, nearly unrivaled in some of his skillset. At this point, I doubt I take a break through his entire bibliography.
Also, this is how I picture the people complaining about virginity in the books:

It’s like they didn’t read Vi’s arc at all.
