[SPOILER]
Oddly enough, this book really did feel like the finale of a trilogy. I’m not sure what direction they’ll take it from here, but I’m very excited.
Oathbringer was definitely not as close to perfect as the first to installments of the series, but it was still much closer than most books.
I would call this the worldbuilding book in The Stormlight Archive. Experiencing Shadesmar firsthand was riveting. Getting to see Kaladin, Shallan, & Adolin be a trio for most of a book was something I really wanted.
The history & culture that Sanderson has built is nothing short of incredible.
And as a fan of redemption arcs, I’m so excited for where Szeth’s story may be going. He’s one of the most interesting characters I’ve seen in a long, long time. And his interactions with Lift were very entertaining!
And speaking of Szeth, It was so exciting to see the Cosmere overlap a little bit in this one!
I’m immediately picking up Dawnshard & moving right along in my Stormlight journey!
